On April 23, 2025, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (“Board”) issued a procedural Order and initiated a BGS proceeding for the period starting June 1, 2026 (Docket No. ER25040190). On July 1, 2025, the EDCs filed their proposal for the procurement of BGS.

The deadline for interested stakeholders to submit initial comments on any aspect of the EDCs’ proposal is Friday, September 5, 2025, and the deadline for interested stakeholders to submit final comments is Friday, October 10, 2025.  Such comments should be filed with the Board Secretary and should also be electronically served via email to parties on this BGS e-service list. 

Interested stakeholders may submit final comments without having submitted initial comments. However, please note, final comments can only be used to respond to issues raised in the initial comments, issues raised at the Legislative-Type Hearing, or questions issued by Board Staff.
